The Vivobarefoot Stealth barefoot running shoe is a premium racing flat for the roads and trails and holds up to long miles, including the marathon.

In terms of barefoot-feel, the Stealth feels similar to the Vibram FiveFingers KSO and the New Balance Minimus, and is perfect for runners uninterested in barefoot running, but want a shoe for a gait correction.

What’s the Vivobarefoot Stealth Good For?

The Stealth performs best on smoother surfaces, like the roads, track and treadmill, but can also be worn for zipping on trails or gravel roads ~if you don’t mind the feel of sharp pebbles or gnarly roots.

Outsole Specifications:

As mentioned earlier, the Stealth’s outsole is 3-mm thin and is made of soft, flexible rubber, delivering an ultra low-to-ground feel that promotes optimally efficient form at any pace!

The Stealth’s outsole is actually the softest, thinnest of all the Vivobarefoot collection, but offers more cushioning than the Vibram FiveFingers while still supplying excellent ground-feel for more confident footsteps!

Upper Specifications:

The upper is made of flexible, lightweight, mesh materials for improved air-flow for summer running. Even better, the silhouette of the upper, especially in the forefoot and toes is wide, allowing a ton of toe-splay room for enhanced foot-step stability and improves or even reverses irregularities in foot structure!

The fabric lining also deflects moisture away, allowing for a cooler in-shoe environment. Moreover, the interior lining is very soft, so the shoe can be worn comfortably without socks.

Final Thoughts:

All in all, the Vivobarefoot Stealth is perfect at what it does in being a true minimalist running shoe while giving a fast, agile, race-ready feel, and is truly all about speed and freedom of movement!

"I believe the forefoot strike is the engine of endurance running..."

BSc Neurobiology; MSc Biomechanics candidate, ultra minimalist runner & founder of RunForefoot. I was a heel striker, always injured. I was inspired by the great Tirunesh Dibaba to try forefoot running. Now, I'm injury free. This is why I launched Run Forefoot, to advocate the health & performance benefits of forefoot running and to raise awareness on the dangers of heel striking, because the world needs to know.
