Why Heel Strike Running is Bad for Your Heels

Heel strike running is most damaging on our heels because the heel is the first point of contact on the foot where impact is significantly higher-than-normal. Conversely, in forefoot running, the heel is most protected from injury as the heel is the last part of the foot to contact the ground.
