Why is Running on Your Forefoot Better

Unlike heel strike running, there’s very clear evidence that when you land forefooted during running, it reduces over-striding by reducing knee extensibility, resulting in a slightly bent knee at landing. The net effect of this is a higher cadence which is proven to do the most good in preventing impact overloads to the shin, knee, hips and lower back!
