Are Cushioned Running Shoes Bad for Your Knees? YES!

It’s bad enough cushioned running shoes, which are very narrow and stiff, confine toe splay and provide no real benefit for the health of your foot. These shoes were also found to cause unsteady mechanical movements that includes pushing the foot outside a greater distance out of its neutral range during the stance phase of running, resulting in overloads to the knee as compared with barefoot-like, minimalist running shoes.
