Is Forefoot Running Faster Than Heel Strike Running? YES!

When compared to heel strike running, forefoot running was found to be significantly more economical on account of reduced vertical oscillation (less bouncing) and a shorter stride length allowed the muscles in the foot and leg to work less hard to push the upper body up off the ground, thereby performing less work against the force of gravity.
