Is Barefoot Running Good for You?

Barefoot running is good for you because it enables you to land significantly more safe as compared with thickly cushioned running shoes. This because when you run barefoot, the heightened sensory feedback activates key reflexes that engages low-impact mechanics, such as a low-impact foot strike known as the forefoot strike, greater knee flexion (more knee bend) at landing and a faster withdrawal retraction of the foot off the ground. Conversely, the thicker the cushioning of a running shoe, the greater the all-around impact forces. Read more here!
