What is the correct way to run on your feet? The safest, most natural, proven way to land on your feet when you run is a forefoot strike which does NOT involve landing high up on the toes, rather initial ground-contact is made on the balls of the foot followed by the dropping of the heel. Landing this way does a better job at breaking the flow of high impact while enabling more involvement of the elastic structures of the lower leg to work as energy-saving springs as compared with heel strike running. Read more here on why forefoot running is the best help for injury.

"I believe the forefoot strike is the engine of endurance running..."
BSc Neurobiology; MSc Biomechanics candidate, ultra minimalist runner & founder of RunForefoot. I was a heel striker, always injured. I was inspired by the great Tirunesh Dibaba to try forefoot running. Now, I'm injury free. This is why I launched Run Forefoot, to advocate the health & performance benefits of forefoot running and to raise awareness on the dangers of heel striking, because the world needs to know.
