Is Heel Strike Running Faster? No!

In running, heel striking and full-knee extension go hand-in-hand and are directly related to runners knee, lower back pain and shin splints. This is because a high brake force duration period arises from this landing arrangement, which also means the body decelerates, or brakes longer and too intensively during the first-half of stance.
