How to Prevent Lower Back Pain When Running?

If you have lower back pain when running, you may be landing with a heel strike which causes the foot to land too far in front of the hips (over-striding). This causes lower back pain because it was found to alter the position of the lower back at heel strike, resulting in excessive anterior pelvic tilt, which is a major risk factor for lumbar lordosis.
