How to Correct Heel Strike Running

Above left shows a plantarflexed ankle at touchdown in a forefoot stirke landing. Above right, shows a dorsiflexed ankle a touchdown in a heel strike landing.

Ankle plantarflexion (pointing forefoot down) at touchdown may help prevent running heel to toe whereas ankle dorisflexion (pointing forefoot up) at touchdown may easily encourage a forceful heel strike.
