Proper Running Form For Beginners

The proper running form starts with the proper foot strike! This means you want to make sure you’re landing with a forefoot strike, not a heel strike, because forefoot striking prevents the impacts responsible for most injuries. Forefoot running is also more economical because it’s the best way to power the elastic structures in the lower leg, making them more efficient at storing spring energy which in turn minimizes the amount of costly muscular efforts. Lastly, for more clarity, here’s a YouTube video I did showing exactly what a proper forefoot strike should look like.
