What is a Forefoot Strike?

Forefoot running is NOT toe running. Forefoot running does not involve landing high up on the toes, rather its made on the balls of the foot, then the heel drops to the ground. The functional advantages of this foot strike pattern is its a smoother motion of the foot that produces less impact, more footstep stability and more efficient storage of energy-saving elastic power in the arch of the foot and the Achilles tendon!
