What is the Proper Alignment for Running? The Forward Lean!

World renowned running form expert, Dr. Nicolas Romanov, proved that leaning slightly forward from your ankles is a powerful strategy that prevents all-around impact levels from reaching pain-inducing levels, while making you more economical because stride length, excessive bouncing and ground-contact time are dramatically reduced. It also turns out that landing with a forefoot strike optimizes the forward lean, whereas landing heel-first was found to push the torso too far back behind initial foot-strike position, making you less able to avoid prolong braking and an impact-related injury.
