Why Barefoot Running is Better for Your Hips

Barefoot running is better because it increases the amount of mechanical engagements that does a better job at reducing all-around impact forces than cushioned running shoes. Case in point, a study in the journal Biomechanics found that loads on the hip were the lowest and foot strike intensity was the softest in barefoot runners as compared with regular running shoes, hiking boots and clogs.
