Landing with a forefoot strike during running may help you make better gains in improving your foot mechanics as forefoot running may naturally put into action better pronatory control and may do a better job at reducing the risk of foot overpronation as compared with running in motion control stability running shoes. Read more here about how foot strike and footwear strongly affects foot pronation while running.
BSc Neurobiology; MSc Biomechanics candidate, ultra minimalist runner & founder of RunForefoot. I was a heel striker, always injured. I was inspired by the great Tirunesh Dibaba to try forefoot running. Now, I'm injury free. This is why I launched Run Forefoot, to advocate the health & performance benefits of forefoot running and to raise awareness on the dangers of heel striking, because the world needs to know.
