Proper forefoot strike is on the outer-side of foot

Initial contact is made on the outer-side of the forefoot, under the 5th to 3rd metatarsal head before the rest of the comes in contact with the ground. Landing this way has been implicated in adequately distributing plantar pressure in the forefoot.
