Is it Bad to Heel Strike When Running?

Landing heel-first when running is incredibly damaging to the entire body, even in thick cushioned running shoes. Heel striking when running puts in motion an over-stride, a locked-out, unstable knee at landing, a torso that is pushed too far behind initial foot strike, all of which adds up to longer braking, greater compressive loads, sheer forces, torsional and rotational stress and compressive strain linked to most injuries as compared with forefoot running.
