Do Minimalist Shoes Hurt Your Knees? NO!

More research proves minimalist shoes are better for your knees by all measures as one of the strongest influences on your running form is footwear. Unlike thick cushioned running shoes, both barefoot and minimalist running was found to do the most good in protecting the body from high impact by activating a range of reflexes in the foot and leg that are only strongly activated by ground-feel. What is more, minimalist running shoes are thin, wide, fully flexible and zero-drop (flat), which not only encourages a softer touch of your foot with the ground when you run, but they make it easier to avoid a force-intensive heel strike, and allows you to connect properly on your forefoot.
