How Should Your Feet Strike When Running?

If you want to run with better economy and less risk of injury, especially knee injury, avoid heel striking and land with a forefoot strike. This is because forefoot striking (landing on the balls of your foot, not high up on your toes) was found to sustainably reduce mechanical stress on the knee that prevented deformities to the joint AND prevented cartilage degeneration in the knee that is otherwise directly caused by heel strike running.
