My forefoot running journey was a long one because I had a poor understanding of what a proper forefoot strike was and looked like. After watching Tirunesh Dibaba’s forefoot running technique, I knew what I was doing wrong and what I needed to do right to run injury-free and more efficiently.
I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to speak with Aaron Olson at Paleorunner.org, where I discussed my transition from heel strike running to forefoot strike running.
I also talked about the mistakes newbie forefoot runners make and gave insight on proper forefoot strike mechanics.

BSc Neurobiology; MSc Biomechanics candidate, ultra minimalist runner & founder of RunForefoot. I was a heel striker, always injured. I was inspired by the great Tirunesh Dibaba to try forefoot running. Now, I'm injury free. This is why I launched Run Forefoot, to advocate the health & performance benefits of forefoot running and to raise awareness on the dangers of heel striking, because the world needs to know.
